I started out shooting landscape and wildlife photography and over the years have studied other aspects of photography as well, including portraiture, abstract, and recently Macro photography. Macro is a completely different method of photography and really opens up a whole new world to explore. The closer you can get to your subjects, the more fascinating they become. Macro photography has a whole different set of rules and challenges, incredible details can be photographed with Macro techniques and equipment. Subject matter, equipment and composition make it a truly unique genre of photography. The photographs can tell a story, be abstract, and sometimes imagination is needed to see the magic or the beauty of the subject.
